  • Cost, Accepted Currency, and Insurance/Financing

    What is the Cost?

For specific details regarding treatment costs, contact us directly at 1(844) 371-1117. Our team is happy to provide all the information you need.

    Do You Accept Health Insurance?

No, our Advanced Cancer Treatment (ACT) program is not covered by insurance. These treatments are not considered standard of care and are non-FDA approved, meaning most insurance providers do not offer coverage. Additionally, as we operate in Mexico, we do not recognize international health insurance policies from outside the country. While you are welcome to check with your provider, patients should plan for out-of-pocket expenses.

    Do You Offer Financing?

Unfortunately, we do not offer financing options for international patients. Since we are outside the United States, we cannot establish legally enforceable financial agreements across international borders. For this reason, full payment is required on the day of admission. We encourage patients to make financial arrangements in advance to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience during their stay in San Luis, Mexico.

    Accepted Currency and Payment Methods

    • USD & Major Credit Cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Most businesses in San Luis also accept US dollars and major credit cards.

    • Local Currency: Carrying some Mexican Pesos is recommended for small purchases.

    Currency Exchange

For convenience, a currency exchange is located just one block from CMN Hospital. We recommend having a mix of payment options to ensure a seamless stay.

If you have any questions about managing expenses during your time with us, our staff is happy to assist.

  • Marijuana Prohibited – Last Update: Jan 05, 2025

    Marijuana Policy:
Please be aware that marijuana is illegal to bring across the Mexico border in any form. Mexican officials do not recognize medical marijuana, and carrying it can result in serious consequences, including jail time and fines. For your safety and the protection of CMN Hospital, leave all marijuana and related products at home. Any traces of marijuana or its derivatives are strictly prohibited and may lead to legal complications.

    Weapons Policy

Weapons and firearms are strictly prohibited. Every year, many U.S. citizens are arrested for carrying firearms or ammunition into Mexico. The penalties for violating these laws can be severe, including hefty fines, confiscation of firearms and vehicles, imprisonment, and even a lifetime ban from reentering the country. To avoid these serious consequences, we ask that you leave all firearms at home and familiarize yourself with the local laws before traveling.

Can I bring prescription drugs across the Mexico border?

Yes, you can bring prescription medications into Mexico by following these guidelines:

    • Ample Supply: Bring only enough medication for your stay, plus a few extra days.

    • Original Containers: Keep all medications in their original, labeled containers.

    • Documentation: Ensure your prescription details are clearly documented on our health history form.

    • Check Regulations: Consult with Dr. Payan to confirm that your medications are permitted in Mexico.

With increased law enforcement presence, stricter immigration policies, and stronger cooperation between U.S. and Mexican authorities, illegal border crossings and related crime have sharply declined.

CMN Hospital is located just 14 blocks from the border in San Luis Río Colorado, a peaceful city with a well-regulated and calm border crossing. Unlike other high-traffic regions, San Luis has remained a secure area for medical travelers.

Since opening our doors in 1987, CMN Hospital has had zero incidents of crime against a patient, not even a petty theft. For any travel-related questions, our team is happy to assist in making your journey worry-free.

  • We understand how important it is to feel confident in your treatment decisions, and we recognize that questions about success rates are a natural part of exploring your options.

At CMN Hospital, we treat each patient as an individual, tailoring care to their unique needs and medical history. Many of the patients who come to us have already undergone conventional treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, without achieving the results they hoped for. These prior treatments often weaken the immune system, making recovery more challenging and affecting overall success rates.

Our approach is centered on restoring the body’s ability to fight disease naturally. Rather than further depleting the immune system, our therapies are designed to strengthen it, helping the body recover in a way that supports long-term wellness.

Success rates vary depending on several factors, including the type and stage of cancer, co-existing conditions, and the effects of previous treatments. Patients who come to us earlier in their diagnosis often experience the highest success rates, while those with more advanced conditions or heavily compromised immune systems may require more time and ongoing care. Historically, patient-reported success rates range between 60-80%, depending on these variables.

Many patients arrive at CMN Hospital after exhausting other options, and while their path to healing may be complex, we are proud of the progress they make. Our patients frequently report increased energy, improved immune function, and an overall sense of renewed hope and strength.

While no treatment can offer absolute certainty, our focus on non-toxic, immune-supportive therapies means that every patient receives care that prioritizes their health, comfort, and well-being. Our team remains committed to helping each individual achieve the best possible outcome, providing compassionate support at every step of the healing process.
