CMN Hospital
CMN Advanced Alternative Cancer Treatment Program
CMN Hospital is a licensed, full-service hospital in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, providing alternative cancer treatment for patients with advanced cancer.
Dr. Edgar Payán’s physician-directed inpatient program begins with a comprehensive review of each patient’s diagnosis, pathology, imaging, treatment history, current condition, and overall health before treatment recommendations are made.
Why Licensing Matters for Alternative Cancer Treatment
Not every facility offering alternative cancer treatment in Mexico operates as a licensed hospital. Some facilities provide outpatient services, while others provide physician-directed inpatient medical care within a full-service hospital. Understanding this difference can help patients and families make more informed decisions about where treatment will take place.
Licensed hospitals must operate according to applicable health and sanitary requirements governing hospital infrastructure, qualified medical personnel, medical equipment, operating rooms, emergency services, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, anesthesia, infection prevention, patient safety, and biological-infectious waste handling.
A hospital environment may also provide access to surgical services, advanced pain management, inpatient nursing care, physician specialists, integrative supportive care, and coordinated medical treatment when those services are appropriate for the patient.
CMN Hospital operates within Mexico’s regulated healthcare system under applicable requirements of the Secretaría de Salud, federal COFEPRIS regulations, and State of Sonora requirements administered through COESPRISSON.
Patients at CMN Hospital receive physician-directed inpatient care with access to emergency services, operating rooms, advanced pain management, laboratory and diagnostic imaging services, nursing care, and physicians from multiple medical specialties within one licensed hospital environment.

Dendritic Cell Therapy
Dendritic cells play an important role in immune-system communication by helping identify abnormal cells and activate T-cell responses.
Dendritic cell therapy is one of the physician-directed treatments offered within Dr. Edgar Payán’s inpatient Advanced Alternative Cancer Treatment Program. Treatment recommendations depend on the patient’s diagnosis, pathology, treatment history, current medical condition, and physician evaluation.
Autologous Bone Marrow Stem Cell Therapy
Bone marrow is involved in blood-cell production, immune-system function, and cellular repair. Autologous bone marrow procedures use cells collected from the patient’s own body.
When recommended by the physician, bone marrow aspiration is performed under sedation within an operating-room setting at CMN Hospital.
Coordinated Inpatient Cancer Care
Therapies and hospital services are coordinated throughout the inpatient stay. Treatment recommendations may be adjusted as Dr. Payán and the hospital medical team evaluate the patient’s condition, symptoms, pain-management needs, laboratory findings, imaging, and response during care.
No treatment or outcome can be guaranteed. Every prospective patient must be medically evaluated before acceptance into the program or before specific treatment recommendations are made.
Private Hospital Suites
A 28-day inpatient program can feel overwhelming at first, especially for patients traveling far from home.
Not every patient requires a 28-day stay. CMN Hospital also offers our Immunity Boost Program, with one week, two week, and three week inpatient options for patients seeking a shorter physician-directed program. Each treatment plan is based on the patient’s medical history, diagnosis, current condition, laboratory findings, and physician evaluation.
Patients stay within CMN Hospital’s dedicated inpatient wing in private suites designed for comfort, privacy, and rest throughout treatment. Each suite includes a private restroom, television, Wi-Fi access, daily housekeeping, and space to rest between therapies. Meals are prepared daily and provided within the inpatient program.
Patients remain at CMN Hospital throughout treatment while receiving coordinated therapies, ongoing medical evaluation, inpatient care, and daily support within a full-service hospital setting located only minutes from Yuma, Arizona.
The Benefit of Inpatient Treatment
Patients remain at CMN Hospital throughout their treatment, allowing them to become familiar with the physicians, nurses, therapists, and medical staff involved in their care. Treatments are coordinated throughout the day within the privacy of the patient suites while also allowing time for rest, meals, quiet walks, and personal time during their stay.
