Advanced Inpatient Cancer Treatment
Dr. Edgar Payán leads CMN Hospital’s Advanced Cancer Treatment program, an inpatient approach focused on supporting the body’s immune response through coordinated therapies, ongoing medical evaluation, and individualized patient care. Treatments are selected and adjusted throughout the program based on each patient’s diagnosis, condition, pathology, imaging, and response during care.
Dendritic Cell Therapy
Immune-Related Cellular Therapy
Dendritic cell therapy involves preparation of autologous immune-related cells using the patient’s own blood during treatment sessions. Low-dose Filgrastim may be used during the preparation process to support immune-related cell stimulation and mobilization. Because the therapy utilizes the patient’s own immune-related cells, no donor cells are used.
Autologous Bone Marrow Stem Cell Therapy
Bone Marrow–Derived Cellular Therapy
Autologous bone marrow–derived stem cell therapy involves obtaining bone marrow aspirate under sedation within the operating room environment.
Bone marrow aspiration allows access to bone marrow–derived stem cells, Natural Killer (NK) cells, and additional immune-related cellular components found within the bone marrow environment. Because the stem cells originate from the patient’s own body, no donor cells are used. The bone marrow–derived cells are prepared and incubated prior to reinfusion during treatment.
Coordinated Inpatient Therapies
Dendritic cell therapy and autologous bone marrow–derived stem cell therapy may be integrated alongside IV nutrient therapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (UBI), Major Autohemotherapy (MAH) ozone therapy, and additional supportive therapies selected based on the patient’s condition and treatment plan.

Private Inpatient Suites
A 28-day inpatient program can feel overwhelming at first, especially for patients traveling far from home. Many people are surprised to discover that the hospital environment feels far more calm, private, and comfortable than they expected.
Patients stay within CMN Hospital’s dedicated inpatient wing in private suites designed to provide comfort, privacy, and ongoing support throughout treatment. Many patients are surprised by how calm and peaceful the environment feels once they arrive.
Each suite includes a private restroom, television, Wi-Fi access, daily housekeeping, and space for rest and recovery during treatment. Meals are prepared daily and provided directly within the inpatient program.
Patients remain under ongoing inpatient medical supervision throughout their stay while receiving coordinated therapies, supportive care, monitoring, and individualized treatment adjustments based on their condition and response during care.
The hospital is located only minutes from Yuma, Arizona, allowing patients traveling internationally to remain close to the U.S. border while receiving care within a fully licensed hospital environment.
