CMN Hospital treats adult patients with many major cancer types and malignancies through Dr. Edgar Payán’s 28-day inpatient Advanced Cancer Treatment program.
Each patient’s case is reviewed individually based on diagnosis, pathology, imaging, laboratory findings, prior treatments, current condition, and overall health.
Cancer Types Treated
Blood Cancers and Hematologic Malignancies:
Leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other hematologic malignancies may be reviewed individually. Dr. Edgar Payán reviews medical records, pathology, imaging, laboratory findings, prior treatments, and current condition before discussing whether CMN Hospital’s Advanced Cancer Treatment program may be appropriate.
Gastrointestinal Cancers:
Colon cancer, rectal cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other gastrointestinal cancers.
Thoracic and Lung Cancers:
Non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, mesothelioma, and other thoracic cancers.
Breast Cancer:
Hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, ER-positive breast cancer, PR-positive breast cancer, HER2-positive breast cancer, HER2-negative breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, triple-positive breast cancer, inflammatory breast cancer, invasive ductal carcinoma, invasive lobular carcinoma, ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), and other breast cancer diagnoses.

CMN Hospital’s Advanced Cancer Treatment program is designed for adult patients. Childhood cancer cases are not treated within this program. Treatment availability and recommendations depend on physician review, diagnostic testing, medical records, and each patient’s current condition.
